Default Prospective Mustang Buyer Needing Help

So I am looking into getting a black 94 Mustang. It has 89k miles and there is absolutely ZERO rust on it. the only problem is that it may need either the motor rebuilt or entirely new motor, but it still runs and drives, there is a knocking sound in it. The person i talked to will only take $2000 for the lowest possible price. so is it worth it to buy it for that much?
