New User with a 67 Fastback
As with the rest of the posts I am a new user. I own a red 67 fastback that i got as a gift several years back from my parents. It was my mom's first car that she ever bought, and it stayed in the family ever since. My parents had a friend fullyrestore the rust bucket and surprised me with it. I have had the car for several years but i am now starting to work on it myself.
As an added bonus the guy who restored it pulled the modest 289 and swaped in a fuel injected 5.0 from a 91 GT. I don't know much about it since I haven't really ever had a chance to turn wrenches, and my gearhead friends never let me forget it,but i'm learning. I am looking to bolt on a bit more horsepower/polish and make it sound a bit meaner. Anyone who knows anything about 5.0's is welcome to give me suggestions on how to improve it. More photos to come soon.
Modifications:
E303 Cam
Battery relocated to trunk
Full MSD ignition system (wires, coil, distributer, 6AL control box)
March Performance underdrive pulley set

RE: New User with a 67 Fastback
Welcome to the forums! Very nice car! I have been looking at fastbacks for awhile - but they are pretty pricey! I have a 65' coupe project and am deciding to stick with that! Have fun with your car - that's one awesome gift!

Pricey yes, but fastbacks are also equally badass as far as style is concerned. And since there were a lot less produced they are much more unique. Anything that resembles 'Elanor' is always sure to be a crowd pleaser.
