My state required a front license plate. How should I go about it? I saw places on the front bumper cover where the holes might be drilled - should I just take a drill and drill it through there or are there any precautions to be taken? Any ideas would be welcome, please share your experience. I know it is a very simple question but I just do not have that much time to think about it and do not want to do anything stupid... Also, what sort of frames would look good onthis car?

i saw a s197 (shelby cobra, white with the blue racing stripes... sex on wheels..) with the license plate attached to the front grill. I'm assuming they just used some wire and twisted it on.

Do not drill if you dont want to! There are plenty of gizmos out there to attach the plate to w/o drilling. I almost killed my dealer when he drilled my bumper w/o asking permission. Check out some of the vendors here like Americanmuscle or mossmustang....you could so do a search on the forums to see what other have done.

In ohio, its also required, but they generally dont care. I rarely hear about people getting license plate tickets unless the driver was dicking around.

Don't drill. If you get a ticket it will just be a fix it ticket. Then you just get some zip ties and tie it to your grille and get it signed off. After that simply cut them and take it off again. Cops rarely will pull you over for no front license plate. If they do it's usually an excuse because they think you may be doing something else.

When i bought my mustang i took the plates off. I was in complete horror when i saw they had drilled the bumper. Who does that?

Mine was also drilled when I got the car.I would just take my chances without it and see what happens.
