Default What about painted wheels?

I have ordered the Sonic Blue GT with the black factory mags (5spoke) and wondered if it would look cool to have the wheel spokes painted to match the car paint? I will also be striping (painted not vinyl) the car with those shown in my photo. I am looking for ideas for the rocker panels as I don't really want the factory stuff. I am looking for something unique or diferent.

Sweet ride! are you painting the wheels blue or white? I have seen some wheels painted white and it looks good but I personally have never seen any painted blue. I bet it would be cool though. It would set your ride apart from the rest.

I personally think the wheels look better the color they come in, but it's mostly personal preferrence when it comes to wheels and colors and stuff. As for what to do with the rocker panels, if your into and/or thinking graphics, there are a lot of websites out there that have a variety of decals. You can just do a search of mustang graphics and see what you like. Hope this helps, and I agree, sweet ride. I have the new Mustang in sonic blue as well, but mine is the 6 cylinder.

I actually think that the spokes would look pretty cool in the blue hue.

Thanks for your input. I figured blue would look cool. The worst that could happen is have them repainted something else.

I want to paint my stockers black with a silver lip, something different. Unique is always good, go for the blue with a silver lip [sm=smiley20.gif]

I think either would look good, but I'm partial to white wheels on a red or blue car. But either should look cool and set it apart. You might even consider polishing out the rim to a chrome finish (I don't believe this done stock), before you paint the spokes. I've always like the chrome rim/painted spoke look.

Just re-read your original post - my vote is definitely for white spokes to match the stripes

Nice choice. I like the grey, factory bullet wheels on my 05 redfire GT. My personal opinion, wheels matching car color, is a bit much to suit me. I do like it, on the older muscle cars, when the steel wheels are matched, and a small chrome cover is placed just over the lug bolts.

the only bad thing about white rims is, the second u touch the brake pedal they're dirty, i got white rims on my zx2....

for this pic i brought a towel to clean them before the pic

after a few days of not cleaning the rims....
