Default Where to sell a customized 2008 mustang convertible

Hello! I work for a museum. We received a beautiful brand new red (less than 50 miles) 2008 Mustang Convertible as a donation to our museum. We'd like to sell the car and put the revenue toward our educational programs. Any advice on how to get a good offer close to the customized value price $39,350.00. It is customized with the word CHI on the interior and exterior. I have photo's but the files are too large to upload...I can email them to you if you need to see them. Thank you so much for your advice. Leslie

It includes:
• GT rear decklid spoiler
• Power six-way driver’s seat
• Premium stereo with CD and clock
• Anti-lock brakes
• Traction control
In addition to the standard equipment, it also features:
• 235/50/ZR18 tires
• Black vinyl convertible roof
• Custom CHI graphics
• Interior upgrade package
• Satin aluminum panel convertible boot cover
• 18-inch, Shelby-style chrome wheels
• Pony center cap
• Convertible-style light bar
• Engine trim cover
• Color door panel inserts
• Billet grill
• "Ford Racing" performance mufflers

First off, welcome to the Forum. I'd start by taking plenty of high quality pics of every aspect of the stang, even the odometer and paperwork to show it's legit. Once you do that, post a thread here, in the mustangs classified section with a couple of the best pics that really sell the car. Ebay is a great idea, you can set a reserve price (won't sell for less than $$$) but keep in mind that only a very select few will purchase an 08 Mustang that they can go out and buy some other place for around the same price. Did I mention how important plenty of great pics are??? Resize the pics that you have taken, make sure they are money shots! You can create a decent photo album here in the photo gallery and a camera link will activate under your avatar, like mine. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Great ideas! Thank you so much! I am going to try to resize the pictures and post them.

What do you think about selling it to Carmax?

you'll never get 39,900 for it from carmax. they dont look at what the car is customized with; only that it's an 08 GT mustang; and give a used car value based on that.... just my opinion; but if you're (or hte museum) is willing to go for a lower price and need a QUICK sale; then by all means carmax is the way to go. if you want top dollar then auction it; maybe a benefit dinner type thing?
