OK heres the deal. I owned a 1986 LX 5.0 Coupe for 5+ years, and sold it to get an efficient vehicle. Laugh if you want. 2 cars later I am bak on the bandwagon, having purchased a 1996 GT. Screw efficient vehicles. The stang is reliable, fun to drive, fast, and still gets 20+ mpg. What more could I want, or need. I bought the 96 wrecked, and repaired and painted with a custom paintjob, based on the E9 factory paint. 6 weeks later, 1 Cat back, brake job, alignment, and tune up leave me satisfied with owning a stang again. Suspension, CC plates, wheel and tires are going in this week. Hope to continue the improvements over the next few years, including a supercharged 5.4 and appropriate tranny.

Wheels and tires on today...what a difference. Went with 10th anniversary cobra wheels with 275-40-17 tires. Nice touch. Suspension on Fri..if UPS is on time. Will post pic's soon after..
