Howdy! (and what have I been missing?)
Hello, all.
I have loved Mustangs since I was a kid, but would not call myself a 'car guy'.
I am way more of an artist/musician type and that is what kept the 'stang in my heart, it's beautiful as art and it screams rock and roll. I never pulled the trigger on a classic, though I was close many times. I just felt that with no mechanical knowledge I wouldn't be able to care for it properly myself.
Well, last Friday, after a weeklong test drive, I pulled the trigger on an '07
v6 convertible (is the v6 known officially as 'the pony'? one of many things I will learn from you guys).
It spent it's forst year as a rental car in Hawaii...so it's had adventures, but no real owner till now. It's ended up here in West Texas, and I am smitten.
I have not loved driving like this since I was 16. Man...have I missed out.
On the other hand, I'm glad I saved this thrill for now!
Anyway...nice to meet ya!
Stephen
