Default Coming to the dark side

Hey guys. First let me say that you have a very nice, organized forum here.

I have to admit, I never thougt I would be on a mustang forum. I was brought up as a die hard chevy guy. I have hated mustangs for most of my life honestly.

But right now I am looking at coming over to the dark side. A buddy of mines father is selling a 2003 Mustang GT. It was wrecked lightly in the front and has a salvage title. He did all of the bodywork and everything looks fantastic. The frame was not touched, so that is not a problem. Car only has 30k miles. He has made it a complete cobra clone, and it looks amazing.

He's asking 11 for it. I am seriously considering buying it. Does this sound like a good deal?

Also, if I do purchase this, I will be buying a supercharger kit for it. What is the best kit made for this application and what kind of hp can i be expecting? I dont want to run anything outrageous, somewhere around 7 p.s.i.

Thanks for all the help guys..

- Lucas

Well....let me be the first to welcome you. I, too, was raised up in a completely Chevrolet-believing family. Trust me...they may *out* you for buying a Mustang...but not for long!!!!

Get the car and come on over......we're good people~!

Welcome to the forums. I have been a ford guy for many years but my Dad would have never owned one. Anything but a ford.

welcome to the forums lucas, buy the mustang! there are a lot of good supercharger kits out there. I would look into either a procharger or a kenne bell. Ask around in the pipes boost and juice section, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people who would be happy to help you out.

Welcome! Get the car and then get a mongoose kit and gears. but there are alot of choices for superchargers but mongoose is a very safe set up. Do a post in the boost section for options.
