Talking The wife lost.

Hey there.
Mark here Toms River NJ
I wanted a Stang, wife tried to tell me how she didn't think it was appropriate and such, and that I was going to pay thru the nose via the gas-tank.
After proving my v6 gets 30mpg on the highway and can sit everyone (the 4 of us) in reasonable fashion, she still said no.

TOO BAD.

I picked up my v6 the next day.

A standard v6 purchased for 13 g's w 13,000 miles...A 5speed of course.
I continued to transform her into the likeness of my Mach 1 that was stolen from me back in 1981 (was a 70 Mach, grey w/ black stripes just like this one)

Billett grille, solid super snake hood stripe, Rousch Hood Scoop, updated to adding the spinners to the stock wheels (they gotta go for Magnums-retro look) added a stock black rear spoiler and getting one of those magneto black out panels for the trunk.
I added a clarion usb bluetooth stereo so I can use the Ipod in the car.
Looking to purchase a front fender spoiler/lip....but one of those that resemble the earlier Mach 1 lip spoilers.
I am also considering the side window covers, Cervini makes them.
(did I spell that right?)

SORRY DEAR, I HAVE TO SELL YOUR ENGAGEMENT RING FOR SOME RIMS.

MARK

I would trade her in for a nice set of fuzzy dice right now.
No wait --fuzzy dice and a cup of soda.
I am looking for something most stang owners usually steer away from.
Like most mustangs have the lemans stripes bumper to bumper.
I used the black tail and scoop.
I also fabricated a grille for the Rousch scoop out of thin chrome body molding.
I REALLY want the magnet black out panel and front fender lip to complete the Mach 1.

lol.. AND a soda.. wow.. she must be pretty hot.. j/k fired up might be a better word aye ? i feel for ya man.. i'm just happy mine hasn't said a word about what i've done to mine so far.. she loves riding in it, so she'd better keep her mouth shut.. YEAH.. i told her.. uhh.. better hurry up with this before she sees me typing it

yeah, i don't prefer stripes either.. notice my boss / mach look on mine.. i bought one of those magnet panels, it works okay, but i wanted my scoop black too, so i just had it painted at the same time to save some $ (about $245 total) and ended up selling my magnet trim to a friend with an 08 GT/CS, he loves it.. but you could just paint it yourself, that dupli-color matte / flat black is awesome.. i've done a couple of accessories with it, and it's held up and looked awesome..

be careful on which chin spoiler you get.. mine's a CDC classic.. lots of dbl-sided tape, and 8 screws/bolts but the CDC aggressive requires removing of the lower intake grill and a bit of cutting and fitting.. and it's only like 1/2" lower than the classic.. but there are other brands that install differently too.

My girlfriend didn't like my mustang at first then she got to drive. Now she asks me if she can drive it every chance she gets.

Have a fun time with it and Welcome.

My wife bought mine for me without even asking a question. However, if I was to sell her rings for rims. I would have to move in with the dog. Welcome to the forums.
