auto to man swap

I have an 89 GT 5.0 It looks like in the repair manual that I should be able to just install the pedel on the stock bracket. I have the clutch,brake pedel assy and was thinking I could swap the hardware (the bolt, pedel, quad ect.)from one bracket to the other.Is that possible?
