Hey Man, Although I am new, welcome as well. I have done this mod before a few times. It takes time and patients. The main issue is not making the two din openings as one, its the depth. If memory serves me correctly the HVAC makes a bend that takes up some room that is needed. I am in Tennessee as well and would be happy to lend some suggestions if you would like.
