newby with FR500 mach 1
Hi, I got the mach new in 03 and love it.Did some upgrades in 05 by bolt on Cobra R 18x10 wheels with Nitto 555 rubber 255 fr 285rear, sticks nice.
Motor stuff as follows: FR500 hiflow heads, large valves hilift cams variable length intake manifold,dual62BBK throttle body shorty headers and full Magnaflow exh.
King Cobra clutch 6spd. trans. with Hurst short throw shifter and 3:73 rear gears. Haven't been to the track yet but I hope to get in the 12's. Dyno tune put it at 315HP to the ground@ 295LBStorque.Out for a blast on a lonely hiway made it to 255KmPH near the end of 5th gear, was catching a truck real fast so slowed down.Oh yeah, the brakes work good too! When I take it easy it still gets 9.5litres/100KM(30mpg),needless to say I don'tget that economy very often. She's put away for the winter now and I very much look forward to the spring.
