Hello everyone!
I got my 05 Mustang back in... Feburary...
Looking to get outta college in a year or so (took my sweet time getting through it alright) and hopefully get into automotive design for grad school in a couple years time - always have been sure about what I wanted to get into... It was "car designer" way back when every other kid was gunnna be a doctor or an astronaut
heres the car:
I don't plan to do much to it on the outside - having an automotive designer mentality, I don't feel it needs much extra to convey its sense of purpose. Maybe subtle stuff - but nothing major like a body kit/hood... etc. But I'd like to get something like a cold air intake and maybe a proper exhaust for it sometime this year (edited to add* not that it doesnt sound nice the way it is... but... yanno...)

oh man.... designing a new Mustang would be a daunting task - I wouldn't know what to do cuz I really think nothing the S197 (or even the 2010, save for the talights) needs to be addressed in that regard.
That being said... I DID try a year or so ago to design a whole new Mustang (just for fun... obviously). When I styled it, I sorta approached it as a replacement for the S197 cuz the 2010 wasn't out yet.
I based much of it on the 69 Mustang. I think its hard to pick between the classics ('64-'73 cars) but if I HAD to pick favorites, first up would be the '68 KR, and then the '69. I think in terms of overall shape and profile, I think they got it spot on that year - just the shape of the fastback... proportions... everything!
I'm not sure where those sketches I did are... but I'll try to dig em up and post here... just for kicks.
