New guy in Illinois
I had posted here a few weeks back asking about a "barn find" that I was considering getting and restoring. Some guys here gave me some serious things to consider with the car in question, and I decided to pass. I then (and have been for a while) tossing around the idea of getting a Challenger or a Mustang. I liked both, a lot. I currently have a very nicely restored (by me) 67 Camaro in the garage.
Well, I visited the Dodge dealerhsip and drove an 09 Challenger R/T. Nice car, and quick. The salesman continued to remind me how lucky I was that he was only charging me MSRP, considering he normally sells them at 3-4 thousand over sticker. I'd have asked the other customers in the store, but there were none. I got tired of his tactics, and went to have lunch.
An hour later, I was finalizing the purchase of my 2007 Touch Red GT Mustang. I love the car, but have only driven it 20 miles due to really bad weather.
It sure looks good in the garage next to my Camaro. :)
