It's been a long 4 years, but...

This weekend after 4 years of looking for a mid-80's mustang, I finally found the right one! Every since my friend had a 1984 GT back in high school I wanted one. Unfortunately, when I went to go buy his, he had wrapped it around a tree. The past 4 years I have been looking off and on for a 1983-1987 Mustang 5.0GT, but the past month I have been looking more often.

I purchased a 1986 black hatchback with a 5.0GT out of a 1971 Mustang. The engine was reuilt and only has 3000 miles on it. The old owner also put in a Holly 600 carborator, 350 gear in the back and just replaced the clutch so it runs really well and is a great drive. The body (main concern) is in amazing shape. All it needs is a little TLC!

Are there any good magazines to subscribe to for parts and accessories? I would like to do some work on the mustang to make it look better (new valve covers, put A/C back in, etc).

Great to have you on board. Good Magazine is 5.0 Mustang & SuperFords. And 50restore.com has a great catalog to order from. Thats where I get most of my parts.
