'79 Mutang Cobra in WA
Hey all, picked up a '79 mustang cobra around here for a body/paint project. Was expecting to pick up something that ran rough and would barely be driven..turns out there's 50K on the rebuilt 302, the car has no leaks, and is in excellent shape mechanically. Drove it home for three hours without a problem and have been daily driving it for the last few days since and fear I might have trouble getting rid of it when the project is complete.
Body isn't in horrid shape...the only trouble I'm having is getting ahold of a new bumper cover. Seems like they're everywhere for other years, but near impossible to find for mine. Anyway, will strip it down, replace all the weatherstripping, trim, etc and new paint. Should be quite nice when finished. I have the original rims too, just need tires.
