Hi, everyone. My name is Joe. My son just picked up his 09 Mustang GT Premium Coupe. What an awesome car!. Black on black. I have a question... what exactly does the "GT security package" entail? If someone shatters the window I assume the alarm will go off? What about if someone tried to lift the car to tow it away? Would the alarm go off then? They call it a "perimeter" security system. I'd like to know exactly what this means. Good luck to all of you with your cars, this has been a long time coming for my son who has had the last four years of suffering from an injury to his ankle that required four surgeries. Needless to say that since it was his left ankle, a 5 speed was out of the question. But don't under estimate the power of his automatic. Its all there. He's wanted this car for the last few years and I'm so proud that his dream has come true. He earned it. Anyway, nice to meet all of you and I look forward to reading all about this great car we all love on this site.

Welcome and congrats to your son on finally achieving his dream of owning one of these awesome cars! He can easily wake that auto up with a CAI and tune from one of many sponsors on this site

welcome to the forums. and yes the active security will set the alarm off if the car is being lifted to be towed also if you leave the windows down on a nice day and lock the car if someone sticks their arm inside the window the alarm will go off.
