Default Newbie Here with 93 GT - Last Mustang 15 yrs ago

Hi all,

Looks like I will be spending alot of time here! I have just bought a high mileage 93 GT. My last one was a 70 Coupe 302 - sadly he died in a fight with a palm tree 15 years ago. The 93 GT has 200k miles on the stock 5.0/5speed but has been maintained in OK shape. Still runs good. Anyway - what are the things that should be gone through first? Am I looking at "just rebuild it" or what? I got the car really cheap - 1k - and have a small budget of a couple of extra k to get it in to daily driver condition.

Regards,

Carl

hello and welcome.. Looks like you got a dimond in the ruff their.. First thing Id do is get that thing buffed.. The powder red its doing it for me.. Secondly, Id get some flowmaster mufflers and dumps at the axle.. Then a short throw shifter. The most important to me would be getting her looking like a $5k car instead of $1-2.. Have fun!
