A 19 YO in a Cadillac Deville, Chrysler 300M ... I don't think so. Even though you paid a lot you'll be much happier in the Mustang.

Alex, welcome to MF and Check this out in my sig. You may want to join us for a cruise since your not that far away.

wingman,

What's wrong with a Cadillac or 300M? I love my luxury vehicles too. In fact, if I could afford to, I would have a luxury and sports car.

In regards to the meet: Thank you for the invite and info. I will very likely come out. I'm not able to RSVP just yet but by mid-June I will know.

Nothing wrong with them but not a typical 19 YO's car. Their is a TV ad about a young guy who is going to get the family van as his first car and then his dad decides to give it to charity and the kid falls down on his knees and thanks the charity for taking the threat of having the van as his first car. Its that kind of thing with the Cadillac or 300M.

How realistic is this? Could one easily drop such an engine into an Automatic 2001 Mustang w/ 3.8L V6?

Let me clear this up a little...

1. This is not my first car, but the first car I've personally been the one to purchase on my own. My first car was an Acura Integra in which my parents paid the down payment on and financed. I paid the payments on it. I was 16.

2. With a little work a Cadillac Deville or Chrysler 300M sit side-by-side in "coolness" with my Mustang and are way cooler than a family van, in my humble opinion. Sure it is a very different type of cool, but those are very nice cars none the less.
