Default Thrilled Beyond Words!

I am 38-years-old and my wife who I am eternally grateful for sacrificed part of her income to help buy me a 2008 Coupe Mustang. Words cannot express how thrilled and humbled I am to have such a giving wife. I have never had a nice car. Plenty of clunkers (yes they got me from point a to point b just fine) but never have I driven feeling cool. When I stepped around the corner in the showroom I was stunned at the beauty of this mustang. I was in heaven! What steps can I take in the winter (if any) to help protect my car from salt, sand and winter abuse? This will be my car to and from work.

Welcome to the forums. Your best bet is to get a cheap second car for the winter. These cars are not the best in the snow.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on you new car! Here in Alabama winter driving isn't a real problem so I can't give you any suggestions about that. Enjoy the car tho... you'll love it!

I had to drive mine in the snow for a winter and it wasnt too bad actually. it was fun at times since the rear end can slide out at any given corner. but yea, i did what 7stang suggested for last winter and got a saturn for 1800. I just felt like i was destroying the car with all the salt so i kind of vowed to never drive it in the snow again.
