Young mustanger from New Zealand
Hi guys,
Im new to this forum, im a 20 year old student from New Zealand.
I drive an 86 GTHO hatchback, in grabber blue and black.
My car has an 88 LX bumper and hood, with a 93 GT rear spoiler.
Under the hood is the 5.0litre engine with Edelbrock Aluminium heads, MAC headers, an offroad H-pipe and flowmaster mufflers.
All that is driven through a rebuilt t5 into the 8.8 LSD with 4.10 gears and into 17" wheels (from an '03 Mach1)
Interior has been my most recent project, I have put in some charcoal cloth seats from a 95 mustang (electric drivers seat), i made a new carpet set for it. And built my own headliner panel and gave it a more modern foam-backed cloth headliner. I have gone for a clean center look, removing the console and leaving the rubber boot and hurst shifter straight on the carpet, like the mid 60's mustangs.
I imported the car to New Zealand from Colorado when i was 16 and have been chipping away at doing it up as i drive and enjoy it.
My next big projects on the car will be to tidy the wiring in the engine bay, replace the dash frame, and paint the exterior - possible gun metal grey, like eleanor.
My family has always been into mustangs, dad has a 72 convertible running a boss 302, a 66 GT350 tribute, a 68 notch which i imported and consequently sold to him, a 95 coupe running ex rousch nascar gear as a circuit car, and an 08 GT500.
Thanks for reading about me, hopefully i can get alot of useful info from this forum!
