Newbie from Beantown

Hey I'm Dan and I bought a 96' Mustang GT a few months ago. It has about 80K on it and I've replaced the clutch already. The only modifications I've made were to the stereo. I'm planning on doing something about performance, but I'm not sure where to start. I was thinking cold air intake and exhaust. I've heard about doing the ports and also getting a superchip. I've also heard that the chip is one of the last steps and is most useful with a turbocharger. Could I have some advice on where to start? I'm not looking to spend a whole lot, but I don't want crap either.

Welcome to the forums man!!!
As you can see, I also have a 96 GT. DO exhaust work and gears first. Also, check up w/ FOrd. There may be a recall on your plastic intake manifold that will be worth about 700 for you. That is a nice chunk of change to get you started. I am calling FOrd on Tues. to find out for sure. It is due to a lawsuit and may get you a Bullit intake from 2002 GTs or something. Good luck!!!
