New Guy from AZ!
Well hello everyone. It's about time I joined an active Mustang forum. Everywhere else seems to be long dead. That or it's just maybe mustangs don't have as much problems as the Euro crowd's do since their forums seem to always be active.
Anyways, I own a 1987 Ford Mustang GT. Yes, the fox. I've had it since I was 14. Bought it for 1k and it was in very rough shape. You wouldn't believe how bad it was. To this day I can't believe I picked it since back then my mom was offering me an 05 Mustang GT. I was going to take that offer until the seller (Family friend) called and fired it up. Let me tell you, the roars coming from the 3in MAC exhaust made me fall in love. Next day we were towing it to our home with all the mice, hornets, spiders, and other gross pests that had started to call it home. Let me tell you, first thing we did was pop the door and throw three bug bombs inside. The amount of dead things after that was disgusting. After that it was just lots of blood sweat and tears to work out the kinks. To this day I'm still fighting a surging idle problem and an overheating while the AC is on problem. Hope to find answers to that.
Car is stock save for smog delete, MAC H-pipe and mufflers, mallory dizzy, electric fan and 255lph fuel pump. I have it like this because I wanted to shut up the people over at bimmerforums that said a relatively stock fox couldn't run a low to mid 14. I'm running 14.3-14.7 consistently with this setup and that's with subs in the trunk. But enough of my talking. I'm sure you guys want to see ze car in question!
