2.3 Turbo freak (ranger, stang, XR)
hey yall, i'm hailing from NW Arkansas (Nebraskan at heart)
my pride and joy is my 94 Ford Ranger Splash 2.3 Turbo, we're in the middle of redoing it again, goal is over 400bhp, it rides low on 1x8 and 17x10.5 cobra R rims and has a host of go fast and suspension goodies
my daily driver i am picking up this week or next, its a 91 stang LX 2.3 Turbo, i'll dyno it asap, should be around 250bhp, nothing fancy, just an engine/T5 swap with 16" polished cobra R's
and the car that is forgotten in the garage....88 Merkur XR4ti 2.3 Turbo automatic, for sale $500, been sitting about a year now
today i sold my 92 Mercury Capri XR2 (turbo, 5spd, convertible) it had 3" dual exhaust, intake, boost controller and strut bar, it was choked trying to keep the boost at a safe level, with an ECU it wouldve hauled *****, sunday night it kept dead even with a mid14 sec maxima V6 6spd that is in my car club, OnTheLoose
speaking of OTL, its the car club i founded a couple years ago, full of Ford cars as well as other domestics and imports, our ringer is a 00 Civic Hatch owned by a 66yr old, its still in the tuning stages, saturday it dyno'd at 640fwhp and 595ft-lbs at 15psi, its built for 30psi
oh and another investment of mine, my girl's 95 Camaro V6, we've put a bunch of aesthetic goodies on it including 18" C5 vette rims, chrome intake, dual 2.5" exhaust, B&M electronic shift improver, clears, grill and i'm forgetting something....
glad to finally get a stang!
