Another new guy in Indiana
Hi everybody!
I have been scouring the net for info for the last couple months and had to face down a horrible decision, GT500 or Roush.
I went with the Roush for my purposes. I just ordered it today at noon but have a few pics of an identicle car that left the dealers lot last Saturday.
They said I will have the car in about three weeks. Thats ok because I have been waiting fo a year to do this. I have had three 88 GTs and one 96 Cobra up to this point. I sold the Cobra about 8 months ago to prep for this purchase. I know that there is a lot of debate about which car to buy because they are the same money but my wife fell in love with the Roush today. Actually she fell in love with a 08 Saleen in the showroom but it was a little out of my price range. They also had the 07 Saleen Cannonball run car with there with about 2500 miles on it for 46k and change. They stated it was 700 hp but I couldn't get past the 3 year old car
This forum has tons of good info and I thought I owed you guys a thanks.
I do have one ? and maybe I need to ask it in a different area. The dealer told me with a pulley change and tune we could pull 500 hp. Will the aluminum non-forged piston motor handle this ok? I want this car to be around for a while.
Here are the pics.

Limit the boost to 8-10 psi and the RWHP to no more then 450 RWHP and your fine. Many have been running higher number and at the track and the motor still is holding up. For a DD or one that you want to keep around you might consider having Roush put the TVS S/C in and have the car with a warranty for 3 yrs and 36K miles. The boost is limited to about 5 psi but that could put you in the 400 RWHP range anyway.....welcome to the forum and whatever you decide you will enjoy...great color choice!

Hey, it looks like your at the performance Ford on the South side of Indy? Good purchase. They just had a special on Speedvision about the 2010 Roush. It was a good show. If you havent seen it, see if you can look it up on the net and watch it. I really like what they did with the 2010 Roush. Sweet car. Enjoy. This is a great and informative site. I just came back myself after being gone for a couple of years.
