I'm new here, and figured I'd post my hello post, which I guess will include a question about what to do with one of my Mustangs.

At the moment I have 2 of them:

1987 LX 2.3l, automatic, convertable, desert tan, which makes it the ugliest Fox I've ever seen. I just got it with 63,000 as a work car, she'll be facing about 2000-3000 miles a month of Southern California. 100% stock and original parts except the transmission, and only one ding on the entire body (D'oh!). I plan on keeping this as a fuel efficient little thing, and keeping it looking as close to a showroom look as I can.

1983 GLX v6, automatic, convertable, white/navy, my first car and a terribly neglected thing. I bought this for $800 over a year ago, drove 20,000 milestill it got to it's current state of needing a valve job, carburator, exhaust manifold, headers, muffler, the transmission slips from second to first at random, stalls if I hold the brakes down while it's in drive,as well as some pre-existing problems (like a mangled driver's door, interior, and brakes.) So far I've replaced the brakes (everything but the lines & rotors, they were all that could be saved), the battery, battery leads, various hoses, etc. My next decision will be to rebuild the 6, or just toss it and get a 5.0l. I've never seen a car that looks better than an '83 Mustang GLX Convertable, so one way or another it's going to get fixed up.

Anyway, I have very minimal mechanical skills, but I still plan on trying to do as much work on the '83 as I can. (If I learn enough I won't be scared of the '87, but for now she goes to a mechanic I trust.) I'm sure I'll be asking tons of questions soon enough.
