Hello From The OC - 06 GT
Another member from sunny Orange County, California.
I've actually been lurking here for a while and absorbing a lot of Mustang information. This is my first Mustang, although I have been dreaming about owning one since High School! It's really silly because I have tried to buy a Mustang several times in the past yet always ended up with some reason or excuse not to pull the trigger. Even after I worked at a Ford dealership in 2003, I let a golden opportunity slip before my fingers by failing to buy a new GT at a significant discount. I'm still kicking myself for that. Well, now it's reality and I'm glad I got the model year that looks as close to the original Mustang. I'm loving the power and the handling. This car just rocks in today's world of hybrids and X-over SUV's. Musclecars rock and the Mustang is the best of them all. Here's to another 45 years!
Looking forward to sharing the knowledge and learning a lot in this fine Mustang website. Good to meet you all.
PS: Some bits about my car....it is a 2006 Ford Certified Pre-Owned car. It is the first year for the Tungsten Grey Metallic color. The car's like new condition just blew me away. Although it has just under 40k miles on it, the car looks like it had been kept in the garage and rarely ever driven by its previous owner. It has no door dings or bumper dings. It does have a few nicks from the mileage but that's simply inevitable if you drive any car. The car is a Premium GT with the leather and Shaker 500 sound system. It is completely stock (it has to be for Certification eligibility) and is an automatic.
Here is another pictures of it:

Thanks guys.
I bought the car a day before Thanksgiving. A friend of my wife who works at a local Ford dealership clued me in on it. It is so clean. No door dings, no bumper dings, a few nicks from debris hitting the paint while on the road and that was it. Of course, the dealership detailed the car and polished everything so the car was spotless. Then there was the color. I'll come out with it and say my other car is a Mercury Grand Marquis that is also a 2006 and it is also Tungsten Gray Metallic! So now I have a matching family car to go with my Mustang. What are the chances of that? LOL!
