^^ this is true. my car in excellent condition is worth roughly $8k with 50,000 miles.

what is it with teenagers and mustangs? god its like the plauge at my school. there were atleast 10 of them in my schools parking lot any given day, most were SN95's and New Edge mustangs with the occasional fox. and except for the fox they were all v6's and thought they were fast! ha!
nothing against stangs at all... but when i was in highschool ''last year'' i wanted 3000gt VR4 or and R34 GTR...
enought of my rant, and welcome, and for the love of god, dont rice it out please!

I'd like a WS6 trans am, or a Z28 Camaro, or R34 GTR, or Rx8, or MK4 Supra, or a GTO, or EVO, or STI, or a Vette.

Anyways, there are 2 mustangs at my school (a school of 900 students). Mine, and another kid with a V6 S197. People who don't know cars always think whatever they have is fast (a few exceptions).. there's a kid with a BMW 328i that thinks he's the coolest ever because he has a BMW.
My point is, in my experience, high schoolers in general want the best they can get, who wouldnt? Most of them can't float the insurance for a V8, so they stick with the V6. But it's the love of that old school muscle rumble box that people want so badly!.. hence they try to get as close as possible (not bashing V6s at all, I'm just talking about thought processes). For the most part, the Mustang has always been a good looking and popular car... not a lot of kids know about RX-7s and Skyline GTRs.
The Mustang really is iconic. People instantly recognize the running pony and muscular lines of the car, and when accompanied with a legendary old school sound, people find their love for cars... that's how I found mine! Anyways, I rambled, but there you go!
