Hi all, My wife and I just bought our dream car last year. A spotless 68 maroon coupe, lowered, dressed and sweet. The 302 is very strong, no it didn't start life as a V8, but the conversion was done right, and unless you look at the numbers you wouldn't know. I'm looking for some help though, the car has a great mean stance which I don't want to change but we live in the country and the headers are about an inch and a 1/2 off the ground, also the tires will rub the fenders in tight turns, even the rear will rub on rough our PA roads with the kids in the back. The old owner lowered it with new springs front and back, and I really don't want to raise it back up, What are my options? The header issue is any easy fix, when these finally blow out, I'll put on shorties. The tire rub is my biggest issue, and we're looking at new ones this year anyway. Maybe I should I look into a new wheel also, one that sits deeper into the wheel well or will I have clearance issues on the inside? Thanks again for the forum.
Can you believe, I have no pics our our new car, and now its bundled up in the garage. Hoping for a warm up to get it out and give her a bath, but not holding my breath.
