First Mods For Newbie
 

Totally a newbie to the mustang world as well as the forums. Just purchased my first mustang 2 weeks ago. A 2004 GT convt. I have been looking through the threads for days now and have more questions than ever. Particularly when it comes to Gears. Seems alot of advise for initial mods for low bucks are CAI, gears and exhaust. 373,390,410's. Not sure which would be the appropriate application for my needs. No track just street use. Heard I should not use double chambered mufflers? What are catbacks? Also told to get X pipe but notice there are other types available. Would welcome ANY advise!!

deff do the 3:73s. I would just do long tubes, catted x pipe and magnaflow, slp, borla xr1 mufflers.

Gears general rule of thumb:
3.73- 5 speed or F/I
4.10- N/a or Auto

Cat back is from the cat convertor back
x or h pipe are your only choices for pipes.
