traded a GM for a 93 fox
hello everyone, first off iv never had a sports car until i traded my 98 gmc sierra for a 93 fox body 5.0, and now i love the car, even though its still not on the road, working on it though.
when i got the car it was pretty much torn down to just the frame on the front and the interior was a mess. i got the original 5.0 302 and a t5 tranny, the kid that i got it from had put this thing together with some parts his friend told him to buy which didn't match. including a x303 cam and some really soft valve springs, stock rockers, that led to the engine failure. after looking at the damaged cam i think the lifters where bouncing off the cam then back down into it creating a disaster.
he had the motor machined .03 over and bought some new parts for it, new rods, new twr pistons, new holly 750, shorty headers, had the tranny rebuilt, used 8.8 posi with 373's (5 lug disc), 1 inch lowering springs, new weiand xcelerator 7515 intake, big red distributer (dont know what brand), cobra clutch, b&m shifter, used gt40 heads, new front and rear 5 lug drilled and slotted rotors. then i guess he got bored with it or something, so i traded for it
i bought a new trick flow 490/510 lift 280 dur cam, new trickflow valve springs, new roller lifters, and i am now hunting for some roller rockers, after that i just need the alternator, battery, rear calipers, tires, ignition wires and spark plugs, and the fluids, maybe some other little stuff, oh and a paint job.
right now the car is sitting on stock 5 lug tribar pony wheels in the rear and 4 lug five star eagles in front. it will probably have to stay that way for a while.
well just letting everyone what i got and would like to hear some fed back,

Welcome to the forums i'm sure if you have any questions on mods and ideas the people here would be glad to help. We're a bunch of car guys (most of us) so always glad to see another person with a stang on the road
