Deployed new member, former (and future) owner
Hi all. I'm considering getting an '08-10 Shelby and am stopping by to learn about the models. I haven't had a Mustang in some years but have had a few. My first car was a '65 fastback, 289 2bbl (C code?), with 3 sp. I restored it in the early "80's and drove it for awhile in college. Loved that car but had the first of my many brain cramps and sold it. I later had a 1986 GT convertible which was a great car but the most fun was my last Mustang. It was an '83 TX Highway Patrol car, painted black and still had the spot lights on it. Used to make great time on the highway by cruising in the left lane while wearing a cowboy hat-- looked just like a trooper so cars would pull over immediately. I'd like to drive a Mustang again and since I missed my opportunity in HS to get a '68 GT350 for $8k, I figure now's the time to take the plunge on a Shelby. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you about these cars. Shovel
