17 year old with a 40 year old car
Hey there everyone,
My name is Joe Priest and I own a 1966 Hardtop. I have loved mustangs since I began to like cars. I bought my 1966 mustang unrestored from a man near Griffith, Indiana. With a solid body and new engine that had never been ran $1,300 was a steal. The man I purchased the car from wanted to make that mustang into a drag car. He attempted to dub out the rear quarters and put these STUPID wide 80's tail lights on it destroying the tail end of the car. Not to mention the slice in the middle of both door panels.
I a year and a half's time I have striped the car to nearly bare metal. Most of the work I did myself with some help from my father. THIS IS MY CAR. I worked for a full year at KFC to earn every dime to buy the car and I have striped it myself too. In a few days I will either soda blast, chemically blast, or dip, the car to remove the mess and all the surface rust. The engine will be coming out before that aswell. Some of the funding will be coming from my parents, but I am in control of every detail of my car. I love it!
