289 upgrade ideas
New guy here, wanting to add 30-60 HP on the sons 1966 Mustang,
Currently has:
Stock 289, C4 transmission, 3.00:1 gears in an 8 inch housing
Puchased so far:
Edelbrock Performer Intake
Edelbrock 1406 600 CFM Carb
Accel Super Coil, msd 8 mm plug wires
Tri Y headers
Want:
Updated Distributer
Upgraded Cam (thinking Comp Cam XE 256H + lifters)
Stock heads but gasket matched porting on both exhaust and intake
Dual Exhaust with Flowmasters and H pipe
Suggestions? Thanks
