Just a little about me.
Hello every one. Thought I would say hello and introduce my self. My love for mustangs started back in 78 when I got my first car a 65 Mustang Coupe. Wish I could say that I took care of it back then (16 living in Texas and trying to reenact the Dukes of Hazard). Had that car for about a year (my dad sold it) I have had several Mustang II over the years. I went without one from about 86 to 05. Talk about withdrawals. My wife got tired of me drolling every time we past a mustang (even the rust buckets). She told me that it I got everything paid of except the house that I could get one.
Well I couldn't wait that long.
Luckily for me my daughter bought a 68 mustang, but after having to travel up the canyons during the winter for work she asked me if I would trade her for my 94 Grand Cherokee. What was I spoused say " Sorry honey, I don't want to help you out"? Of course I traded her cars!!! (I know way to take advantage of my kids)
So now have a 68 Mustang coupe. Started to make repairs to it, putting new polyurethane bushings everywhere, put new springs in up front and man did that improve handling. Then she really started showing her age. The handling started getting bad. She would swing back and forth when ever I went over a bump. Checked things out and found that the shock towers were splitting in half!!! Now it has been sitting for about two years and I'm looking to get back on the road. I'm looking to do the work my self with the help of my son and a son-in-law, so I may be asking a lot of question hope you don't get tired of them.
Thanks in advance for the help. (I'll ask the questions in the appropriate place)
