New guy from WI... 5k road trip starts tomorrow
Hey everyone!
I just bought my 2005 Screamin' Yellow V6 Premium convertible about a month ago. 41,500 miles. Bone stock. Lady driven. Has every option except the Shaker 1000, which is OK because I need the trunk space for the Annual Random Road Trip Across America.
So the only thing that I noticed is that I have the fuel pump bubble problem. That will probably get old pretty quick.
I got a steal on a BRAND new set of 18" chrome GT wheels last weekend and did the swap. I just had to clearance the caliper about 2 mm to make myself feel comfortable. Lets just say the tires would have cost as much as I paid for the whole set...
I leave for the Annual Random Road Trip Across America tomorrow. I have been doing this for 5 years now. I pick a place or event somewhere south of me and take the freeway to that place. After I get there, I only take 2 lane highways, I make no plans I just drive and let the road tell me where I am going. I don't eat in any chain restaurants and I don't pay more than $100 for hotel room.
So I leave for Austin TX and the Lone Star Roundup tomorrow morning at 5:00am.
See you on the road!
Mike
