2011 Roush Stage 2

Well I’ve been in the market for a new car. For the past 3 years I’ve been driving a C5 Corvette convertible. In the last few weeks I’ve looked at two Porsche’s, a Carrera 911 S and 911 4S. I also looked at two BMW’s a 335i and M3. All 4 cars are great but the Carrera S being the best. I try to stay on top of all the current hotness within the car world and it’s tough not to come across adds for the new Camaro and Challenger, BUT!!!! then I came across a few articles for the 2011 Mustang and the performance numbers blew me away. I thought I at least owed it to myself to see what all the hype was all about. Now it’s important that I be clear, I’m not in ANY way a trained driver, unless you count commute time. So the lap times that get posted online by Car and Driver, etc are completely irrelevant in my opinion. With that said out of all the cars I’ve driven recently the 2011 Roush was the most fun. It has the power, handling and comfort I was looking for and surprisingly the most options in the gadget department too. Blue Tooth, iPod controls, crazy interiors lights that have a plethora of color choices and of course the Sync system. Add all that with the Roush goodies and I think it’s the best bang for the buck.

To be honest the Mustang was barely on my radar and I was pretty sure I was going to go with the 911 S. I ended up buying the car simply on looks, accessories, the Roush history, and of course all the buzz going around about how great the car handles. I didn’t even drive the car before I bought it, that’s how impressed I was by the looks, and it is stunning. Luckily for me I was happy with the way it drove, that would have been a tough pill to swallow had the car turned out to be a POS
