Feeling Overwhelmed

Hey everyone!

New to the forum, and looking for some help from those who share a common love for Mustangs.

My son turned 18 last Jan. and graduated HS this year. So in looking for a car for him we found a 1986 Mustang LX convertible that seems to run good.

Needs a tune up, new top complete, and tires to get her running down the road, and a whole lot of cosmetic work, plus mods.

Body is in good shape, no rust, or rot except for some of the rubber parts like the moldings on top of the doors and the interior is pretty rough.

I don't have pics yet, but will post some when I take them later today...

Any suggestions?

Oh, It's a V-6 Auto.

That looks like a good place to start- I'm a new guy here too, but old to the Fox Mustang! Several places you can get parts for that from, 5.0 Resto, Years One, Mustangs Unlimited. Nice car!
