New to site but not to Stangs
Hey all.
Just came across this forum and thought I would join up and introduce myself. I was a member of the BlackMustangClub.com when i had my 2001 Mustang GT...but I quickly realized that site was full of #@%#$ that looked down on the people that didn't have superchargers or another 10 grand in aftermarket items on their mustangs..so I'm giving this site a shot and hoping for a good group of people. I've been over on the R1-forums for a few years now and have learned so much from them. I'm hoping the same for here.
Heres some background on me. I have owned a 2001 Mustang GT...black on black. Traded that in with 130,000 miles and got a 2006 Mustang GT silver with grey leather and love it. So far i've only added the racing strip (which i put on shortly after I got it...but now trying to find some other kinda stripping that I like better) I change my mind a lot haha. And I also have SLP loudmouths on it. Been wanting to get an Xpipe with hi flow cats but been spending all my money on the motorcycle lately since its summer haha.
My mustang madness started a long time ago. My dad had a 1991 Mustang GT 5.0...black on black. brand new off the floor. He made the mistake of getting auto...it was his first ever mustang. My mom wrecked it and totaled it out when he got the payoff amount down to $900.....she didn't do it on purpose haha. From there he went to a 98 black/black. then an 04 silver and traded it in for the 05 Roush sport when the new body style came out. Then sold that to help out his mom with bills and got a cheapass f150 p/u. He didn't last 6 months until seeing me in my 01 got his mustang obsession boiling again and he got a 2006 Roush Stage 3 Mustang. Had it for 3 years..then got sick of the appauling depreciation on it since its not "ford endorsed" and only recognized as a GT with aftermarket items after 2 years. He now drives a Toyota FJ Cruiser....yeah I already cussed him out for it haha. Im sure now that the 5.0 is out again he will be back.
But as you can tell Im not new to Mustangs. But a lot of tweaks and questions still float around in my head. I had JLT Ram air on my 01. But since the 05-up needs a tune with CAI i haven't made that move yet. Did find the ones that come with the calibrated MAF connectors. So i'm looking at that route. and would love to go twin turbo someday haha. But I do love the WHINE of the supercharger.
Unfortunately I'm at work and dont have any pics of my mustang the only pic i have on my phone is of my bike. So ill share that for now and post up the mustang when i get home and i'm thinking about it. I get distracted easily haha

My previous 2001 Mustang GT as she was the day I bought her.
and after I the mod bug attacked
my current 2006 Mustang GT pics taken first day I got her
and as she is after about 7 months of ownership. Yeah I know...not a lot done...the bikes been getting all the attention.
