Howdy from Kansas
Nice forum folks. I'm learning a lot from you guys.
My first Mustang was a blue 1980' econo model. I traded in in after two years for an 82' Camero (boo hisss) which was destroyed in an accident. I then got an 83' Camero which frankly, I absolutely loved and drove for 17 years before passing on to my daughter. I also have a Tahoe and a Buick Lacrosse. I've been awaiting the arrival of the new Camero for two years and was eager to buy one until I drove it. Nice engine and handling but it just wasn't a "fun" car. I know this sounds cheesy...but I decided to test drive a Mustang because of the bailout thing....and I fell in love on the first test drive. It took me awhile to find just the one I wanted, but find it I did while on vacation in Kansas city. A cherry red GT premium with saddle leather and 19" spoke wheels and manual 5 speed. It's a 2010 so I got a smokin' deal on it. It's perfect in every way and just beautiful.
I've only had it up to 110 which it did smoothy and easily, but I'm reluctant to push it too hard. I've heard it will take anything I throw at it. Is that really true? I'm also curious about the button that turns off the traction control. All I know is what the salesman told me. Push once to let your hair down. Push twice to get really freaky.
So, howdy to you all, I'm thrilled to be part of "the club"
