Ready to restore my 65 mustang coupe

I am excited to work on my new car however my plans for it are pretty big- swapping the auto trans to standard, replacing the engine- not sure with what yet, its a straight 6 at the moment, i would love to put a 347 stroker or at least a v8 in it but it doesnt need to be original parts or anything as long as it performs! I am pretty new to the auto world, especially a classic like the 65 stang! any advice would be much appreciated! thanks!

Welcome topdog499 to MF, from beautiful British Columbia, Canada!

You'll get lots of opinions here on how to mod up your '65

We'd all love to see some pics...especially through the 'building-phase'

Good luck with your project!

Welcome to MF from the Great White North!

My dad built up a 64 1/4 Mustang years ago as a daily driver for my mom. It was neat to see the project progress. Post some pics of yours and let us watch your project too.

Have fun!
