Default New from Jacksonville, NC

my truck got total'd last week by a pizza delivery guy who's GPS told him to go against traffic and listened.

just officially got my 98 Mustang GT today,

bbk headers, intake, pulleys, and an H pipe which I now have to put cats on to pass inspection but even that was a hook up for two high performance cats for 250 plus another 50 for labor. Old southern black guys from around here are pretty cool.

the stang has about 90,000 on mileage and there's a few things that could stand to be replaced just from age (hood latch is wearing down & a bumper reflector) but for $4k I saw it as a pretty great deal. I'm really happy with how well he took care of the car though, he seemed really on top of stuff especially whenever it came to the engine and what not.

another pretty cool thing is I have a bama tuner he threw in for free, looks really sweet but i'm new to mustangs and not really a veteran with motor work in general but I'm certainly interested now.

so I thought I'd throw my piece out, say whatsup and maybe I can learn a thing or two from some of you old salts on this forum.

as a final note, like I said, everything was in good working order with the vehicle and it passed everything except the visual inspection but whatever that problem will be fixed tomorrow afternoon, anything I should really put my eye on that maybe I had missed as far as potential eyebrow raisers? I plan to take solid care of this car and potentially learn some good engine work prior to my deployment but most of all I just want to make this car last because I like it so damn much.

thanks.

Welcome gallus to MF, from beautiful British Columbia, Canada!

Hey, that's not a bad lookin' car for havin' 90,000 miles on her!

Maybe it's just your photo, but just a quickie paint job and that's
a pretty nice car for that money...well done! Engine 'looks' good.

Good to have you aboard on MF
