My first mustang - virgin 88 Lx w/ 64k miles
Hey guys,
I recently sold my 66' Charger that I finished restoring and picked up this beautiful 88' Mustang LX. I've always loved the fox bodies, but have found that all the ones in my area have been really beat up. Luckily, I found this gem residing with the original owner!
She has 64k original miles and 150% stock. The owner was able to tell me pretty much every mile of the car and even kept all the original documentation, right down to the temporary and dealer plates. She is a 5.0 w/ a 5speed.
I'm fortunate to be able to have such a clean, garaged car. I plan on driving it everyday and thoroughly enjoying it.
She has a few things wrong:
Fuel pump is a little noisy
key sticks in ignition
headlights/corners need to be replaced (typical)
tune up
etc.
I attribute her running a little rough due to the 15 year old plugs and 3 year old gas in it. haha. I'd like to keep her fairly stock, w/ just the addition of subframe connectors, an offroad h w/ super 44's and a few goodies here and there.
First, she really needs a can of seafoam with some fresh fluids and plugs. I look forward to being a part of the forum and adding a little Ford Blue to my Mopar Orange blood

Welcome cleanfivohlx to MF, from beautiful British Columbia, Canada!...
..and welcome over to the BLUE OVAL
Pretty lucky gettin' a stock FOX-BODY...I agree with you..usually the engines
have been pretty-much 'toasted' at the track & the bodies' ignored.
You have a nice find there, for sure.
Enjoy your stay here on MF
