New to the forum and Mustangs
Hello!
Noob here. Have been a car nut since I was a kid. I was always into "exotics" growing up while a good friend of mine was into Mustangs and Mustangs only. He had an 84 V6, 88 GT and currently has a 98 GT. I have to admit I was never really crazy about the body style of the 80's and 90's Stangs, but LOVED the classic 60's ones.
When I saw the 05 come out I really liked it a lot and would have loved to pick one up, but at the time I was driving a modded '87 Porsche 928S4 and was pretty happy in it until I got run into a wall by someone who cut me off.
I was driving around in a Jeep the last couple of years and decided it was time to get back into a car that was fun to drive. I talked to my buddy about Mustangs as I really liked the look of the new ones and his cousin had an '07 and he recommened it highly ( not to my surprise LOL ).
I was looking at 2010 Camero's, Challenger's and Mustang's and due to cost I ended up getting a 2006 Mustang GT after test driving it. I've been in it for about 2 months now and have a list of mods both internal and external a mile long I already want to do.
Anyway, I was looking for a good forum to join and this one seemed like a pretty good one. I'm looking forward to many years with this car. It's my weekend "fun" so I won't be racking up tons of miles on it. I just wish I could afford the mods I want right now!
