New to Mustang from Louisiana
Hey guys, wanted to post up and thank you all for the informative posts. I am new to Mustangs, and have a ways to go. Bought this 99 from a guy who swore he would help with any problems, and two days later threw a rod. Guy bailed, so off to the engine shop it went. After a fresh reman, I decided since I've now got alot of cash tied up in it, I may as well fix it up.
First order of business is fixing small stuff like the radio, trying to get the theft light off, and the ratty turn downs in front of the rear end. Then comes prothane bushings, and paint on the under carriage. Possibly a nifty body kit, amd fresh paint.
Once I get it mechanically sounds, and exterior ashthetics done, I will work on interior. New threads for the seats, and suede on the headliner, new leather for the steering wheel etc. Not a big fan of painting plastic interior parts, so I will probably go with some sort of fabric inside. Haven't gotten that far into my design process yet. It's now my daily, so I have to work on the weekend, and drive during the week.
