New Cobra owner!
I had been driving an old beat down station wagon for a while now because it cost me a total of 115 bux. I recently destroyed the trans in that so instead of rebuilding it i went on the hunt for something i could have a little more fun in. And this is what i came up with
I'd done the 4 cyl. turbos for a while, and even a TT v6 in a 300zx but i'd never had a v8 or any sort of muscle car. I've always had a soft spot for a clean foxbody but ended up coming across this 96 cobra just 5 minutes from my apartment. I decided it was time for something unlike anything i'd had up until now
It came with BBK O/R H pipe, Flowmasters, Pro 5.0 shifter, BBK 255lph fp, sct tuner, LUK clutch, Cervini kit, 17x8 Cobra r wheels powdercoated black, nice black leather interior, and 83k and in immaculate condition inside and out.
Now i'm already doing my homework to add a few more parts too it. It made 270 rwhp/270rwtq on a local mustang dyno. I plan on adding a few more go fast parts but keep it strictly NA for a while to come and do a lot in the suspension area. I'm actually enjoying driving it a lot more than i thought i would and i certainly thought i'd like it.
The goal is to have a 300rwhp/tq NA that i can takes to the drags, autox and my favorite winding back roads. Any suggestions on what route to go about building this? I'd like to start with new shocks/struts as the stockers are rather worn out.
I'm already a member over on svtperformance as well but are there any of good/informative forums out there for a noob?
So what do you guys think of my newest daily driver?
