0% APR financing through Ford worth it?
 

My credit union said these 0% Apr financing deals aren't what they seem to be. Is that true?

I would like to snag a 2012 GT before the year is out.

I've had 0%apr deals before, and they were exactly that 0%. You usually don't get the rebates, but you are using their money for nothing.

Depends. If trading they might low ball it, price of the new car might be higher a 0% etc

As far as dealing with Ford Credit customer service, they have always been top notch as far as I'm concerned. Your APR will depend on your credit rating though, when you actually go in to buy the car find out the best rate that Ford can get you and compare it to your CU and go with the best deal.

It all depends. If you calculate the interest you would have to pay out for 4-5 years vs not paying any interest but paying full MSRP (no rebates, discounts, etc), the 0% APR could be worth it.

I think the 0% APR is only good for 4year terms. 5yr & more are out of the question. But you will have significantly larger monthly payments, especially if you do not bring a down payment to mitigate what you have to finance.

The best thing to do is walk in with a calculator and crunch the numbers. Or better yet, make the salesman crunch the numbers for you. After all, he works for you, you are paying him.

I was going to skip the rebates and take the financing, but the dealer hads a bank tha would finance at 1.9% and I could get thethe rebates.
