new from mass
Hey guys, I just joined so I thought it's time to introduce myself. I have always owned a Ford truck because they are the best, I think everyone knows that. My parents always owned European cars so naturally I gravitated to them. VW GTI's and Saab turbos were my cars of choice. The VW scene really wore on me as it is full of 18year old know-it-all jerks and the Saab scene is full of 80's yuppies that think it is still the 80's. Neither interests me, and I think it's time for a car with some V8 pow-a!
Growing up, a family friend restored Mustangs and I recently ran into him. He took me for a ride in his 65 coupe with a 460 based Boss engine. Needless to say, I was thoroughly convinced that a Stang was in order. So, I'm looking at a new(2012)5.0 or a vintage mustang. After seeing the '13 model, I'm probably going to wait for that to be released if I go with a new one. I really do like the vintage coupes, too.... decisions....
Oh yeah, if you are in MA and need help with anything automotive, I have a moderately equipped garage at my house. No lift or anything but I do have a engine hoist, a press, some good hand tools, plenty of electrical diagnostic tools. European cars have lots of funny electrical issues, so I'm pretty good at finding and fixing most issues.

Hey,
thanks guys! I was poking around on utube and found a few vids of the "retro exhaust" on the new 5.0, holy crap! It's the best sounding car I've heard in a while. My wife actually came over and wanted me to replay one of them, and then gave me the go-ahead to seriously start looking for one.
