New Guy From SoCal
Hey guys, I just a 2005 Mustang GT the other day. I've been looking for the right car for the right money since July and finally I got it on New Year's Eve! It's an 05 GT black on black auto (I know, I know, I wanted an auto because of all the traffic in LA. Trust me, I know how to drive a manual lol). It looks like it was a base model GT because the interior has no factory silver trim and it has the all plastic steering wheel. It appears the only options were leather, Shaker 500, and an automatic transmission. Anyways, I love the car! It drives beautifully and the 3V 4.6 is so sweet! I'm also really glad I held out for a black one.
More about the car... It's a one owner car. I can tell it was really someone's baby before. It has the Ford oem HID headlight assemblies, Ford Racing springs (not sure which ones yet), Tokico adjustables, Ford Racing sway bars, Cragar SS 18" wheels, an aluminum dash trim kit (don't love it but don't hate it), and some sort of Ford aftermarket axle back (Bullitt maybe?) Everything about the car tells how well it was taken care of- neither of the key fobs have any wear on them after 7 years!
About me, I'm not new to the Ford V8 rear drive combo. I've had 2 Crown Vics in the past and I'll be keeping my 03. I love to autocross my Vic and now I'll be racing the Mustang. I also will be on a new show on the SPEED channel in March in the Vic. You could say it's an extreme driving show, and it was definitely fun as hell! I'll copy the link to the thread on the Crown Vic forum if you guys are interested about the demolition the Crown Vic got.
Sorry about my long-winded intro, and I look forward to hangin around the forums!

Thanks guys!
I forgot to mention my plans for the car. I've already got a set of R1Concepts slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads waiting to go on it in the garage. I also need either a new radio head unit with iPod connectivity (thinking about the Pioneer App Radio) or just and an iPod hookup to the factory head unit. I'm also planning on some SVE Drift wheels from Late Model Restoration in black. Does anyone have a hookup with them? They make the 18" SVE Drifts in the proper offset for 04- cars and 19" with the right offset for 05+, but I prefer 18's. I was hoping they could make me a special set of 18's with the 05+ offset...
Other than those things, just exhaust and CAI+Tune at some point down the road and enjoying driving it and polishing it.
Also, here's the thread of the destruction of my Crown Vic if anyone is interested...
