Greetings from the upcoming Oktoberfest!
Hi All!
What a forum! I do confess to be impressed with the traffic.
Well, it seems you have won one of those members who come here to get some help.
Mine is a 94 Mustang Cobra and it is so much fun to drive it on the Autobahns here in Germany. As you might know, the Autobahns here have no speed limits. [8D] Challenging a Porsche is sporadic fun (especially on hills where the 5ltr. motor really comes to play against the Porsches that generally have smaller blocks). My Cobra is regarded as exotic here and gets a lot of views.
Alas, my beaut needs refurbishing. But it seems as if the Ford people don't give a darn about imports here, nor do the Ford people in Dearborn. Looking for parts, they only give me the run around. Besides them, though, I have contacted over 30 different official Ford parts selling companies by email and got one (!) answer. That one said: 'We only service Ford trucks'. Great!
I guess, you have caught my drift. I would like to connect to an original Ford parts dealer to import the parts directly (bypassing the rip-off dealers here in Germany. - One of them wanted 12$ for a standard washer worth 30cents around the corner).
Now, before an admin/moderator refers me to the forum intro: I have done my homework and went through two thirds of the links offered on the forum's landing page. But, I can't find a dealer for original Ford parts. Original Ford parts are mandatory here because of an authority called: TUEV, the registration office. They say: If a part is not original make and is apt to modify the driving performance of the automobile, the we won't grant registration. Talking 'bout red tape, guys!
Bottom line: I would highly appreciate some info on dealers for original Ford parts.
Mucho gracias in advance!
Rudy

RE: Greetings from the upcoming Oktoberfest!
Welcome! Try some of the sponsors here, or even try EBay. A lot of people sell OEM parts on Ebay because they upgraded to an aftermarket part.
Hope you find what you need!!

I'm sure that if you are having trouble getting a particular part, a north american Ford dealer might be willing to ship whatever you need.
otherwise e-bay is a good place to look.
